Prices for a chair, a pack of charts, and Helen’s time.
These figures are a guide so you can decide whether to enquire. There is no payment page on this site. Helen confirms a date by email, then sends the deposit details for the lesson you chose.
| Lesson | What the fee covers | Guide price |
|---|---|---|
| Chart Structure Workshop | Six Tuesday evenings, printed packs, pencils, tea, a recap sheet after each week. Deposit £80 to hold the chair. | £285 for the series |
| Market Basics Morning | One Saturday, 09:30–12:30, glossary to keep, tea or coffee. Dates open when four people ask for the same month. | £75 per person |
| One-to-one Chart Hour | 75 minutes at the table or a video sitting that still uses a printed page. One instrument, one timeframe. | £80 per sitting |
| Marked Practice Evening | 90 minutes, new pack, tea. For people who have finished the workshop. Charged per evening. | £28 |
How a price is settled
The workshop is a series fee, not an hourly rate, because the six evenings are one arc. Missing a Tuesday does not shrink the invoice; Helen posts the pack and offers a short catch-up instead. Extra one-to-one time is a separate Chart Hour.
Practice evenings can be paid on the night or invoiced for a month if you know you will attend both Thursdays. Chart Hours are paid when the slot is agreed, because the diary only holds one person at a time.
Travel, parking, and any reprint of a pack you left on the train are yours. The school does not sell binders, subscriptions, or recorded editions of the Tuesdays.
What can change a quote
- Access needs that require a different room arrangement — say so when you enquire; the fee does not rise for that.
- A Chart Hour that you want as a video sitting still costs £80. It is not cheaper for being remote.
- Groups from a workplace are not discounted; the chair limit still applies.
Deposits, balance, and the refund page
The workshop deposit of £80 is part of the £285, not an extra. The balance is due ten days before the first evening. The Saturday morning is payable once the date is confirmed. Cancellation, no-shows, and work already started are written out on the refund page rather than negotiated in the doorway.
If money is tight, say so in the message. Helen would rather move you to a later intake than invent a three-tier package with a lesser syllabus.
