Marked Practice Evening
A quiet 90 minutes for people who have already finished the Chart Structure Workshop. You mark a new pack under supervision. It is not a club for swapping tips, and Helen does not present a market view.
£28 per evening · 90 minutes, alternate Thursdays, 18:45–20:15
Who it is for
Workshop graduates who want the habit of marking without sitting alone at the kitchen table. Newcomers are asked to complete the six-week series first so the room is not split between alphabets.
What you should be able to do afterwards
Another pack marked, another chance to hear why a neighbour chose a different swing, and a reminder that speed is not the point.
Scope
Silent work, then a short walk-round. No lectures on news, banks, or 'what the Fed will do'.
Included
- A new printed pack
- Table space for up to six people
- Tea
Left out on purpose
- Teaching the beginner syllabus from scratch
- Guest speakers
Tutor, place, preparation
Helen Cartwright.
93 Cefn Road Farnham GU9 4UD United Kingdom.
Bring your last workshop pack if you want to compare an older mark-up. No other homework.
Open to workshop graduates. If you studied elsewhere, send a photograph of a marked chart when you enquire so Helen can see whether the evening will frustrate you.
How the sitting is shaped
Mark in silence
Same rules as evening six of the workshop. Helen answers a raised hand; she does not tour the room uninvited.
Compare maps
Two or three pages on the side table. Disagreement is useful. Bragging about a trade you took is not.
Fee
£28 on the night or by invoice if you prefer to settle a month at a time. Missing an evening is not carried forward as credit unless you cancel by the Monday before.
See also the fees page and the refund terms.
Next step
Enquire after you have a workshop end date. Helen will send the next three Thursday dates.
Questions people actually ask
Is this where people share trades?
No. If a conversation drifts that way, Helen closes it. The room exists to keep the pencil moving.
